A SAFE, NURTURING PLACE TO GROW.
Wrixon Residential provides safe, nurturing and highly personalised care for children and young people aged 8 to 17.
Across our two small residential homes in St Leonards-on-Sea, we support up to two young people in each home. This allows our dedicated teams to understand each child as an individual, build strong and consistent relationships, and provide care shaped around their needs, wishes and aspirations.

WHO WE SUPPORT
Wrixon Residential operates two children's homes in St Leonards. Each home supports a maximum of two young people at any one time, which allows us to shape everything - routines, relationships, the feel of the house itself - around the individuals living there.
We support children and young people aged 8 to 17 who live with us all year round. Many of the young people we care for have additional needs, including ADHD, autism (ASC), foetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD), Tourette's and social, emotional and behavioural difficulties (SEMH/EBD). This isn't an exhaustive list - we'd always encourage a conversation about whether we're the right home for a particular young person.
Each home has a dedicated team of support workers and senior support workers, supported by a Deputy Manager and a Registered Manager.
OUR APPROACH
We provide a safe, nurturing, family-oriented environment where young people feel valued, respected and supported.
Everything starts with relationships. We build trust through consistency and understanding, and we make sure each young person's individual needs are met in line with their care plan. We offer emotional and practical support side by side - encouraging positive choices, promoting independence, and helping young people build the confidence and resilience they'll carry into adulthood.
We work closely as a team, and in partnership with families, social workers and other professionals, to achieve the best possible outcomes. Safeguarding and wellbeing underpin every decision we make.

OUR VALUES
We work collaboratively with colleagues, families and partner agencies to provide consistent, high-quality care.
YOUNG PEOPLE AT THE HEART
Their voices are heard and their needs, wishes and aspirations shape the support they receive. We listen to and advocate for the young people in our care.
KINDNESS AND RESPECT
We value every young person's individuality, culture, background and experiences, and we actively encourage them to express their identity and culture.
TRUSTING, CONSISTENT RELATIONSHIPS
Positive relationships are the foundation of emotional wellbeing. Our small teams mean young people see the same familiar faces, day in, day out.
SAFET FIRST, ALWAYS
We prioritise safeguarding and maintain clear boundaries and consistent routines within a comfortable, family-oriented home.
GROWTH AND INDEPENDENCE
We help young people develop life skills, make positive choices, build resilience and prepare for a successful future — and we celebrate every achievement along the way.

A PLACE TO FEEL AT HOME
Both Wrixon Residential homes have been thoughtfully furnished and decorated to provide a comfortable, welcoming and age-appropriate environment.
Young people are encouraged to personalise their bedrooms, giving them privacy, ownership and a space that feels like their own.
Each home includes:
-
Comfortable communal living areas.
-
A shared dining space for meals and social interaction.
-
A kitchen where young people can develop practical skills safely.
-
Private, personalised bedrooms.
-
A garden for recreation, relaxation and outdoor activities.
-
A dedicated vehicle for education, appointments, activities and outings.
The environment is designed to balance safety and support with the freedom young people need to grow in confidence and independence.
HELPING YOUNG PEOPLE MOVE FORWARD
Our goal is for every young person to feel safe, healthy, confident and empowered.
We create opportunities for children to experience success, make positive choices and take appropriate risks in a supported environment. Through everyday routines, education, relationships and new experiences, we help them build the skills and resilience they will need in adulthood.
Ultimately, we want every young person to leave Wrixon Residential with greater confidence in themselves, stronger practical skills and a more positive sense of what their future can hold.

“I just wanted to pass on one final thanks for everything you've supported this young person with to get her where she is today. It's been an absolute pleasure to work with you… we had a lovely final visit today.”
